Pulmonary Function Technologist Job Description

At Yale New Haven Health, we are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our team. As a Pulmonary Function Technologist, you will play a critical role in the assessment, treatment, and education of patients with respiratory problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic tests and clinical activities to assess and treat patients with respiratory problems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to effective communication within the department through documentation of services provided.
  • Maintain clinical competency through continuing education and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited program of Respiratory Care.
  • Current active license by the State of Connecticut as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • NBRC Registration: Registered Respiratory Therapist Required.
  • Certified and/or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Experience in Pulmonary Function, preferred.
