About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team with preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
  • Help maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
  • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, or completion of a Registered Nurse program.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and two (2) years of previous scrub experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 40-pounds and push/pull heavy loaded carts up to 200 lbs.
  • Ability to wear lead for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Surgical Technology experience preferred.
