Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and CT procedures at a technical and professional level, exercising independent judgment and initiative to ensure quality images and pertinent information for diagnosis by the interpreting physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic and CT procedures, including diagnostic X-ray and CT exams, in accordance with radiologist protocols and physician orders.
  • Assist the radiologist with CT-guided and X-ray-guided interventional procedures.
  • Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast for imaging procedures per radiologist protocol and physician order.
  • Utilize 3D Vitrea workstation per radiologist protocol and physician request.
  • Enter correct information manually and from modality worklist in the PRID workstation and Digital Radiography equipment.
  • Send studies to PACS from modality and log in and log out of PACS.
  • Review prior studies, reports, and study lists in PACS and use Patient Merge functions.
Requirements
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB.
  • Radiologist Technologist through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners, or applicable state where services will be performed.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
  • Two years of experience in Radiology or CT.

  • Effective reading and comprehension skills.
  • Basic math and algebra skills to calculate radiation exposure factors.
