Job Overview:
Chamberlain Advisors is currently conducting an executive search for a Senior Financial Accountant for their direct client.

As a vital partner to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in preparing and maintaining financial documentation to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, and overall financial performance.

The Senior Financial Accountant will be tasked with delivering accounting expertise, consolidating financial data into the accounting system, executing month-end closing procedures, assisting leadership during audits, overseeing general ledger activities, and conducting financial statement analyses and preparations.

This role will execute general accounting functions and collaborate closely with the CFO to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and controls across all operations.

You should be a proactive, hands-on accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment. This position reports directly to the CFO.

What You Will Be Accountable For Accomplishing:
Review and maintain general ledger activities; reconcile general ledger accounts.

Manage full life-cycle accounting for Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP/AR), Month-End Close Procedures, PTO & Payroll Accruals, Posting Journal Entries, Financial Statement Analyses & Preparation, and support the Accounting Function during Audits.

Analyze project profitability and provide management-level economic and financial reporting.

Project Accounting:
Monitor labor, expenses, and other details at the project level.
Assist and support the CFO with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.

Contribute to various accounting projects for a rapidly growing company, including ERP system integrations, compliance, accounting policies, audit requests, documenting procedures, internal controls, and automating manual processes where feasible.

Assist with business licensing and compliance with State Sales Tax regulations.
Provide necessary documentation for financial statements, internal, regulatory, or third-party audits.
Support M&A integration efforts and handle ad-hoc requests as needed.

What You Will Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field / equivalent experience.
A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience is required.
Prior experience in Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
Comprehensive understanding of full cycle accounting processes.
Strong knowledge of financial statements, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation.
Robust understanding of GAAP and project accounting principles.
Proficiency in analytics related to acquisitions, including financial integration and consolidated reporting.
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Extensive experience with Sage Intacct and project accounting.
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines while delivering high-quality results.
Excel in a fast-paced startup environment, managing multiple projects concurrently and independently.
Agile, adaptable, flexible, and thrive in a dynamic and evolving cultural environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
