DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Corporate Accounting division, integral to the Global Controller Organization (GCO), plays a vital role within Oracle's esteemed Finance sector.

This forward-thinking team consists of around 32 finance professionals tasked with Oracle's US GAAP external reporting, statutory compliance, and fiduciary duties, alongside managing mergers and acquisitions.

The Senior Assistant Financial Controller aids the Finance Director in the Corporate Accounting division and supports the Board of Directors in compliance matters, safeguarding the interests of Oracle Corporation and its associated legal entities.

This position entails overseeing all facets of accounting, financial audits, and internal management reporting for the legal entities managed by the Corporate Accounting division. The role ensures adherence to US GAAP, local tax, accounting, and financial regulations mandated by local laws.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly closing processes, ensuring timely US GAAP financial reporting in line with corporate closing protocols.
  • Develop and implement intercompany reconciliation processes among Oracle's legal entities.
  • Manage accounting entries related to the integration and reorganization of Oracle companies.
  • Review account reconciliations for all corporate entities to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss flux analysis for designated Corporate legal entities.
  • Assist Financial Controllers with daily operations to guarantee compliance with Oracle's policies and US GAAP standards.
  • Prepare quarterly schedules for SEC 10Q/10K submissions and collaborate with the External Reporting team.
  • Engage with Global Finance Organizations, including Tax, Treasury, and Legal.
  • Prepare and oversee audits of statutory financial statements for assigned Corporate legal entities.
  • Work closely with external auditors to complete audits within statutory deadlines.
  • Participate in Global & Regional strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operations.
  • Support Internal Audit and SOX PMO in internal controls assessments.
  • Serve as a resource for team members, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with Tax on information requests and audits.
  • Implement best practice system processes to comply with reporting obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional Accounting Qualification, CPA is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with a focus on Accounting; MBA is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the technology sector or public accounting with a top 10 firm.
  • Experience in corporate accounting and consolidation processes is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of finance responsibilities, including accounting, revenue recognition, and tax.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting, finance, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Oracle Financials is a plus.
  • Project Management skills are beneficial.

A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience and a BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent is required. Some roles may necessitate bilingual skills in English and Spanish or Portuguese.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Hiring Range:
