Job Summary

Emory University is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse II to join our team at the Winship Cancer Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating clinical research trials, studies, and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research Protocol Development: Provide direction in the development of research protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
  • Participant Recruitment and Education: Recruit and screen potential study participants, develop and conduct patient and family education, and provide nursing support for specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial accounts to ensure operations remain within approved levels, and perform patient evaluations, administer medications, and research instruments.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Collect data, assist in developing data collection systems, and compile reports, including infusion duties as needed.
  • Grant Writing and Publication: Assist in writing research grants, publications in medical and nursing literature, study materials, brochures, and correspondence.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide direction and may supervise other Research Nurses or other support members, performing related responsibilities as required.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Experience: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia and three years of related nursing experience, credentialed through Emory Healthcare under the category of RN II.
