Job Title: Program Specialist

The Night Ministry is a Chicago-based organization dedicated to providing human connection, housing support, and healthcare to individuals experiencing homelessness or poverty.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Program Specialist to join our team, responsible for the day-to-day care of residents in one of our youth housing programs. The successful candidate will maintain a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment, working closely with other staff to ensure the well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial intakes and complete paperwork for new residents.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry in Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).
  • Record daily activities, progress, and significant resident issues.
  • Greet visitors and callers promptly and professionally.
  • Supervise and enforce Night Ministry policies and procedures.
  • Assist residents in developing basic life skills and arrange transportation for appointments and activities.
  • Ensure residents' safety and report incidents promptly.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year experience working with at-risk youth, recent experience preferred.
  • Crisis intervention training a plus.
  • Ability to pass DCFS licensing requirements.
  • Current driver's license and proof of insurability.
