Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Treatment Specialist to join our team at Wisconsin Community Services.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for youth in a therapeutic milieu environment, emphasizing skill building and empowerment.
  • Provide supervision and support to youth, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Implement daily schedules of activities, including educational support, group activities, and recreational programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for youth and families.
  • Document youth participation in activities and interactions, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Transport youth to medical appointments, court hearings, and community events, as needed.
  • Assist with meal preparation, building cleanliness, and organization, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Monitor and support youth in completing activities of daily living, such as chores and health and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to State licensing requirements and WCS policies.


Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 21 years old, with a minimum of two years older than the oldest resident.
  • Flexible schedule, with a rotation of first and second shifts, including weekend coverage.
  • A minimum of one year of experience serving children with mental health needs.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications and cultural competence.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance, sufficient to meet agency requirements.
  • Meet all employee requirements, including references, criminal background check, drug test, and driver's license check.


Working Conditions

  • State-licensed residential care center.
  • Local travel required, fulfilling essential functions of the position.
  • Able to provide coverage as needed, serving youth who have experienced trauma and express needs through behaviors.
  • Flexible schedule, with a rotation of first (8:00am-4:00pm) and second shifts (3:00pm-11:00pm), including weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds and drive.
