Early Childhood Education Assistant

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Full-time Early Childhood Education Assistants to support our lead educators in our state-of-the-art preschool facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a positive experience for children and families, embodying the YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
- Assist in overseeing children, classroom activities, and overall engagement.
- Implement educational programs in accordance with established guidelines.
- Establish and uphold rules that encourage constructive behavior.
- Attend to children's essential needs, including supervision during meals, playtime, and recreational activities.
- Participate in family events, program initiatives, staff meetings, and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or equivalent, along with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience working with children in a developmental context is required. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with infants, toddlers, and young children for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors. A pre-employment drug screening and background check are mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves regular sitting, standing, talking, and listening. Employees will frequently need to walk, bend, and reach with their hands and arms. Occasionally, the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds is necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role also demands the capacity to plan, lead, and engage in various activities.
Full-time positions are available, offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14.75 to $20.00.
