Position Overview: English Language Acquisition Instructor at EAGLE College Preparatory Schools

Role Objective:

The English Language Acquisition Instructor is essential in supporting the educational journey of students classified as English Language Learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a guiding figure in implementing effective strategies for English Language instruction
  • Assess, monitor, and appropriately place English Language Learners in educational programs
  • Adapt instructional resources and techniques to accommodate a varied student demographic
  • Design and execute weekly activities aimed at promoting English language development
  • Engage collaboratively with students to address the needs of diverse learners
  • Regularly assess student progress through systematic evaluations
  • Ensure ongoing student advancement in accordance with English Language Proficiency standards
  • Maintain precise student records and adhere to state monitoring requirements for English Language Learners
  • Work alongside administration to develop a comprehensive English Language program
  • Provide insights regarding students' backgrounds and educational experiences
  • Create instructional materials tailored for English Language education
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities in English Language instruction
  • Stay informed on current research related to English Language education

Qualifications:

  • Strong instructional and classroom management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field

  • 1-3 years of relevant teaching experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proven track record of fostering student success
