Job Overview

Position: Front Office Supervisor

Reporting To: Front Office Manager

Department: Front Office
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: Oversee and manage the activities of front desk personnel. Provide assistance to guests during the check-in and check-out processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and address any minor concerns to ensure a comfortable stay.
  • Conduct human resource functions such as recruitment, training, and scheduling of staff.
  • Facilitate guest registration, manage billing inquiries, and resolve any guest-related issues.
  • Aid in the preparation of the Front Office budget and compile necessary reports.
  • Handle accounting responsibilities and maintain accurate computer data entries.
  • Supervise operations of the Front Desk, Reservations, Guest Services, and Switchboard.
  • Complete daily and weekly management reporting tasks.

Position Requirements: Requires specialized knowledge and skills in a technical area. Experience with Opera software is preferred.

Education and Experience: A high school diploma is required, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Communication: Engage in daily verbal and written communication, participate in meetings, and lead group discussions.

Team Collaboration: Act as a team leader within the departmental work group.
