Job Overview

The Assembler role at Colson Group Holdings, LLC is integral to our manufacturing team, responsible for executing assembly tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions. This position encompasses hands-on support for production processes associated with the assembly of various products, managing material transactions, conducting inspections, and packaging completed items. Proficiency in ERP software and adherence to procedural documentation are essential, alongside maintaining a tidy and secure work environment. Regular updates on work outcomes, priorities, and progress will be communicated to management, supporting the company's objectives, standards, policies, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently handle materials.
  • Accurately label and organize finished products on pallets.
  • Ensure a clean and safe workspace by performing tasks such as sweeping, machine cleaning, and organizing parts.
  • Execute 5S methodology tasks.
  • Assemble components by verifying connections for proper fit and securing parts and subassemblies.
  • Contribute to team goals by achieving related outcomes as necessary.
  • Manage inventory levels by assessing stock, anticipating supply needs, placing orders, and confirming receipt of materials.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as required.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Tasks may involve bending or stooping.
  • Must be able to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Standing and walking for 8 or more hours daily is required.
  • Climbing small ladders or step stools may be necessary.
  • Repetitive fine motor movements are expected.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Epicor, is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an assembly team setting is advantageous.
  • A minimum of one year of related work experience is preferred.
Skills
  • Capable of achieving work results, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and reporting workflow outcomes in production summaries.
  • Uphold quality service by implementing and maintaining organizational standards.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and general knowledge, are necessary.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Strong reading and mathematical skills are essential.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
