Are you ready to take charge of an exciting bridge construction project in Beaver Falls, PA? This role offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate your leadership and technical skills in the realm of concrete segmental bridges. Join us in shaping the future of infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical guidance on the fabrication of concrete segmental bridge segments on behalf of the project owner, focusing on segment casting, geometry control, and post-tensioning.
- Ensure that all work aligns with project plans and specifications, while preparing comprehensive daily reports detailing construction activities and their relation to contract documents.
- Verify quantities of unit price work, identify potential extra work issues, review contractor payment requests, and communicate any concerns to the Resident Engineer.
- Prepare estimates for extra work, maintain detailed photographic records of site activities, and complete other necessary tasks.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in the home state.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in inspecting construction work on complex projects valued at over $10 million.
- Prior experience in transportation construction projects, particularly with cast-in-place or precast segmental bridges.
- Certifications in ASBI Grouting, PTI Level 1/2 Multistrand and Grouted PT Specialist, and ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 1 (considered an asset).
- Completion of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training, including fall protection and confined space entry (considered an asset).
- A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively within a distributed team of engineers, contractors, and field personnel.
