Job Title: Structural Engineer/Bridge

Civil Science is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer/Bridge to join our transportation design group in Utah or Idaho. This position requires a Professional Engineer with a structural background to plan, design, construct, maintain, and inspect transportation-related structures, including bridges, tunnels, highways, and related infrastructure.

Type of Structural Work:

  • Bridges (precast/prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel)
  • Retaining Walls (MSE, cast-in-place concrete, and soil nail)
  • Box Culverts
  • Miscellaneous Drainage Structures

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Professional Engineer License and be able to gain licensing in Utah and Idaho through reciprocity within six months of start date
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Bridge Engineering
  • Working knowledge of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
  • Familiarity with the AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design
  • Experience with UDOT and local municipal agencies
  • Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation
