Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, the Customer Logistics Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and coordinating logistics operations while providing guidance, training, and development to team members. The ideal candidate will be proactive in suggesting enhancements to our facilities, equipment, and processes. You will ensure that the team meets performance standards and contributes to achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily logistics operations and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to plan and assess logistics processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
  • Develop work schedules and coordinate team activities for optimal logistics performance.
  • Monitor site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure targets are met.
  • Engage with customers to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to track progress, provide coaching, and celebrate achievements.
  • Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, promoting teamwork and process improvement.
  • Evaluate team performance and recommend recognition or merit increases as appropriate.
  • Address performance issues through appropriate corrective actions.
  • Understand labor agreements and maintain positive relations with all employees.
  • Implement health, safety, and security initiatives, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Provide comprehensive orientation for new employees and ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year or more of experience in a transportation, warehouse, or distribution setting preferred.
  • Up to one year of direct supervisory or leadership experience required.
