About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to join our Surgical Specialties Team at Emory University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia services to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients
  • Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician
  • Interpret and record patient's physiological and pharmacological status
  • Assist the anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data
  • Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited CRNA or CAA Master's Degree program
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs)
  • BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) required. ACLS (AHA) may be required for some locations and/or services
