Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at the Nevada Bankruptcy Court as a Courtroom Deputy I. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the court, handling sensitive matters, and maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the court, including scheduling events and managing courtroom logistics.
  • Handle sensitive matters, including sealed documents, with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with judges, counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth court operations.
  • Take notes and summarize material for minutes and judgments.
  • Utilize automated systems, such as CM/ECF and CHAP, to manage court documents and records.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, including court minutes and judgments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with court staff, judges, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in court procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a court or administrative setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and automated court systems.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
