Position: Human Factors Project Engineer

Role Objective
The Human Systems division at Triton employs a user-focused design methodology to create solutions that prioritize user needs. We engage in various projects that include:
- synthetic training systems and extended reality (XR)
- wearable technology
- physiological monitoring devices
- medical devices for trauma and field care
- innovative human-machine interfaces, including haptic technologies
We are in search of a Project-level Human Factors Engineer to contribute to our innovative initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the technical team in product definition and strategy through user-centered observation techniques, including expert interviews and structured human subjects research.
- Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders through both written reports and presentations.
- Assist in business development efforts by crafting proposals and seeking strategic partnerships.
- Identify and creatively address complex challenges.
Collaboration with colleagues across various teams within Triton is essential, as you will work on a diverse range of projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in multiple phases of the product design lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping to refinement, risk assessment, and validation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of technical teams, including human factors, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with design history management and regulatory standards.
- Experience with statistical analysis methodologies.
- Background in SBIR programs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 3-7 years of experience in human-centered product design or related disciplines.
Note: Due to the nature of our work, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
