Job Description

Job Summary: Triton Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Composites Project Engineer to lead programs in novel composite structural materials and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of composite design principles, analysis, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical solutions to meet opportunities in the composites field, advancing solutions from low TRL through commercialization.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and stakeholders to solve complex problems and drive innovation.
  • Design, fabricate, and test fiber-reinforced composite materials to meet application requirements.
  • Lead in the testing and evaluation of materials, performing failure analysis and reviewing design plans for objectives such as strength, weight, and cost.
  • Develop and execute design-of-experiments, interfacing with outside test facilities and materials vendors.
  • Author technical reports and procedures, functioning autonomously in a fast-paced materials fabrication environment.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in composite design, fabrication, testing, and analysis, composites research, and/or product development.
  • Proficiency in solid modeling and FEA (Solidworks, NASTRAN, or equivalent).
  • Standard analytical computer skills, efficiency in Windows operating environment, Office Suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Internet Browser.
