Role Objective
The Human Systems division at Triton employs a user-focused design methodology to create solutions that prioritize user needs in our product offerings. We concentrate on several key areas:
- synthetic training systems and extended reality (XR)
- wearable technology
- physiological monitoring devices
- medical devices for trauma and field care
- innovative human-machine interfaces, including haptic technology
We are in search of a Project-level Human Factors Engineer to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the definition and strategic direction of products by employing user-centered observational techniques, ranging from expert interviews to systematic human subjects research.
- Present findings to stakeholders through both written reports and oral presentations.
- Contribute to business development efforts by drafting proposals and seeking strategic collaborations.
- Identify and creatively address complex challenges.
Collaboration is essential, and you will work closely with colleagues in small teams, both within the Human Systems division and across other departments at Triton, on a variety of projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in various phases of the product design lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping to refinement, risk assessment, and validation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams, including human factors, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with design history management and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with statistical analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of SBIR programs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 3-7 years of experience in human-centered product design or a related area.
Note: Due to the nature of our work, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
