Overview:
The Manager of Employee Engagement and Retention will collaborate closely with the Organizational Design and Development team to ensure that all employee-centered programs and initiatives enhance the onboarding experience and foster a culture of engagement and recognition. This role involves leading training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to support comprehensive professional development. The incumbent will focus on positively impacting new hires during their onboarding process and will take the lead in implementing and monitoring consistent engagement activities for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically coordinate and oversee program logistics, collaborating across the People Team and the organization.
  • Facilitate and enhance employee program initiatives, including Internship programs and New Hire Orientation.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the effectiveness of critical initiatives to leadership.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new content and training materials.
  • Draft internal communications and plans related to the learning experience for all organizational levels.
  • Manage documentation for the Internship program and conduct onboarding meetings.
  • Define and communicate success metrics for programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and oversee the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Work with the training team to evolve an inclusive and employee-focused onboarding experience.
  • Utilize technology to promote and follow up with learning communities.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, Human Resources, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
Preferred:
  • At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Experience in a large, dynamic organization or governmental body.
  • Progress towards SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI SPHR, or PHR certifications.
  • Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures.
