Job Summary

The IT Intern will provide support to our in-house IT department in various areas, including new hire technology setup and onboarding, digital signage support, O365 administration, daily cybersecurity review, and hardware and software support. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and provide training and support to team members.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $19.

About the Role

The IT Intern will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, and software. They will also enter, verify, and resolve data entry errors in databases, systems, and spreadsheets. Additionally, they will provide training and support to team members in the use of computer systems and software.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of computer systems and software, familiarity with hardware and software installation, excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

The IT Intern will be responsible for:

  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Entering, verifying, and resolving data entry errors in databases, systems, and spreadsheets.
  • Providing training and support to team members in the use of computer systems and software.
  • Setting up new employees' technology, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Providing onboarding training on how to use the company's IT systems and applications.
  • Providing technical support to employees who are having problems with their hardware or software.
  • Supporting the company's digital signage network.
  • Troubleshooting problems and ensuring that the network is secure.
  • Administering the company's O365 environment.
  • Conducting a daily cybersecurity review of all systems, emails, and endpoints.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have:

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Administration, Business Technology, Information Technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology.
Working Conditions

The IT Intern will work in an office setting with minimal adverse exposure to environmental hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Frequent computer use at a workstation. Frequent interaction with employees, clients, vendors, and the general public via email, telephone, delivery correspondence, and/or face-to-face.
