Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Operate Air Methods' aircraft safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections to ensure airworthiness.
- Maintain awareness of aircraft and weather conditions for safe transport of medical personnel and patients.
- Adhere to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and company policies.

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Recent flight experience in a commercial or military setting within the last 24 months.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public to maintain a professional environment.

Licenses and Certifications:
- Commercial & Instrument Rating for the appropriate aircraft category.
- ATP rating in category also fulfills this requirement.
- First or Second-Class FAA Medical certificate is mandatory.

Flight Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2000 total flight hours, including:
- 1500 flight hours in category
- 1000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in category
- 500 hours of turbine rotor wing time
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time, with at least 50 hours at night
- 50 hours of actual or simulated instrument time in category
- 100 hours of unaided night as PIC (50 hours of NVG time may substitute for 50 hours of unaided time).

Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus 2-5 years of relevant experience or training; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
