We are currently looking for an Associate Engineer (Engineer-In-Training - E.I.T.) to join our team.

This role is part of our Transportation Services Group (TSG), which comprises approximately 55 dedicated transportation professionals committed to serving our clients across multiple states. This position offers a valuable opportunity to work alongside seasoned experts and acquire the necessary skills for various civil engineering roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure solutions primarily for transportation projects serving local municipalities, Departments of Transportation (DOTs), and counties.
  • Engage in all stages of project development, from initial planning through design and construction.
  • Evaluate engineering data, familiarize yourself with design standards, develop plans and specifications, and make informed decisions to address challenges.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, including surveyors, planners, and engineers, on various projects.
  • Work alongside senior engineers and planners to advance transportation projects for both private and public agencies.
  • Assist Professional Engineers in business development and client relationship building, including preparing proposals and participating in project interviews.
  • Engage with government agencies and clients throughout project execution.
  • Participate in public meetings and forums to discuss project specifics and address community inquiries as needed.
  • Prepare reports covering drainage, roadway, structures, utilities, and other facets of transportation design.

This position is guided by a Professional Engineer with extensive experience, fostering a supportive environment with excellent mentoring and growth potential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Certification as Engineer-in-Training (successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) is required.
  • 0-3 years of experience in Transportation Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with MicroStation (preferred) and/or AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and writing skills are essential.
