  • Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions primarily for transportation projects involving local municipalities, departments of transportation, and counties.
  • Engaging in all stages of project development, from initial planning through design and construction.
  • Analyzing engineering data, understanding design standards, creating plans and specifications, and making informed decisions to address challenges.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, including surveyors, planners, and engineers, on various projects.
  • Working alongside senior engineers and planners to develop transportation projects for both private and public agencies.
  • Assisting Professional Engineers in building client relationships and preparing proposals for prospective projects.
  • Interacting with government entities and other stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Participating in public meetings and forums to discuss project specifics and address community inquiries.
  • Preparing reports covering drainage, roadway, structures, utilities, and other facets of transportation design.

This role offers mentorship from a Professional Engineer with extensive experience, fostering a supportive environment conducive to professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Certification as Engineer-in-Training (successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) is mandatory.
  • 0-3 years of experience in Transportation Engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation (preferred) and/or AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and writing skills are essential.

Compensation: Salary range is $61,500 to $74,000, determined by experience and education. In addition to a competitive salary, J-U-B offers a comprehensive benefits package, including bonuses for eligible employees, flexible work schedules, and a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
