Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Cano Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests and taking vital signs.
  • Provide basic medical care to patients in a clinical setting, including administering injections and performing blood draws.
  • Assist physicians with procedures such as ear lavage, wound care, and pap smears.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including medical history and test results.
  • Inventory and order medical supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the quality department to track patient gaps and ensure compliance with HEDIS standards.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant diploma or equivalent experience.
  • CPR or BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider.
  • At least two years of experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, with frequent exposure to patients and medical equipment. The employee must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
