Job Overview

Company Overview

Palo Alto Networks is dedicated to our mission of being the cybersecurity partner of choice, safeguarding our digital lifestyle.

Our Vision

We envision a world where each day is safer and more secure than the last. Our foundation is built on challenging the status quo and we seek innovators committed to shaping the future of cybersecurity.

Work Philosophy

We prioritize personalization and choice in our employee programs, recognizing that each individual has unique needs and preferences. We empower our employees to select what best suits them, from wellness support to professional development.

Your Role

Palo Alto Networks stands as a leader in cybersecurity, boasting a comprehensive product suite. By further integrating the advanced automation capabilities of Cortex with our Network Security offerings, we enhance operational efficiency for organizations of all sizes. Our automation initiatives enable businesses to streamline operations, minimize manual tasks, and gain enhanced visibility and control over their environments, ultimately strengthening defenses and effectively protecting networks.

As a Lead Security Automation Architect, you will act as a highly technical subject matter expert (SME) in automation, overseeing integration with other Palo Alto Networks products. Your responsibilities will include defining, supporting, and developing pertinent use cases, playing a pivotal role in executing our Better Together Strategy. This strategy focuses on orchestrating operations across the Palo Alto Networks portfolio with Cortex, delivering exceptional solutions for our clients.

Your Contributions
  • Design, develop, guide, and review automation use cases for release on the Cortex Marketplace.
  • Gather requirements, initiate innovative concepts, collect stakeholder feedback, and develop compelling use cases. Post-release, promote the solution and assist customers in onboarding.
  • Collaborate with partners on product use cases, API documentation, playbooks, and joint product offerings.
  • Lead and coordinate automation projects across multiple functions with Palo Alto Networks products and teams.
  • Engage with product, engineering, sales, professional services, customer success, enablement, and marketing teams.
  • Work with clients to understand their specific workflows and assist in automating time-consuming manual processes.
Your Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in the cybersecurity sector.
  • Practical experience with automation and playbook development for SOAR platforms, preferably XSOAR.
  • Strong familiarity with Palo Alto Networks Network Security products.
  • Solid understanding of security management workflows in large enterprises and complex environments.
  • Proficiency in coding, preferably in Python.
  • Adept at learning quickly and solving problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation capabilities.
The Team

Our engineering team is central to our products and directly aligned with our mission to prevent cyberattacks. We continuously innovate, challenging conventional approaches to cybersecurity. Our engineers are dedicated to creating solutions for problems that have yet to be addressed.

We define industry standards rather than waiting for guidance. We seek individuals who thrive in ambiguity, are excited by challenges, and are empowered by the unknown risks that necessitate a secure digital environment.

Join a passionate and dynamic team with opportunities to work on exciting projects centered around one of the most significant missions globally. We strive to be the most people-centric company, constantly enhancing your experience and redefining workplace boundaries.

Our Commitment

We are trailblazers who dream big, take risks, and challenge the cybersecurity status quo. Our mission cannot be accomplished without diverse teams innovating together.

Palo Alto Networks is an equal opportunity employer, celebrating diversity in our workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to legally protected characteristics.

All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. The starting base salary for non-sales roles is expected to be between $144,200/yr to $233,200/yr, with potential additional compensation including restricted stock units and bonuses.
