POSITION SUMMARY

BlueHalo is in search of a proficient Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to play a vital role within our Engineering Division. This position involves supporting the design, integration, and evaluation of technologies that form the backbone of our mobile electronic warfare solutions. Responsibilities include conducting research and development initiatives, operational testing and assessment, capability enhancement development, and the incorporation of innovative technologies.

The EW Systems Engineer will be responsible for establishing and managing requirements, crafting operational systems concepts, conducting system architecture analyses, and gathering insights from leadership and system stakeholders. The ideal candidate will exhibit motivation and high performance, with expertise in facilitating cross-functional, multidisciplinary team efforts.

The candidate should possess a robust background in commercially available and deployed systems, showcasing the ability to effectively oversee product development throughout its lifecycle—from requirements identification and component selection to testing and final delivery. A customer-centric approach is essential in this role, directly contributing to the ongoing advancement of complex systems in mission-critical scenarios. Collaboration with our electrical, RF, software, and mechanical engineering teams will be crucial to ensure a comprehensive understanding of system requirements and to promote effective information sharing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and assist in defining requirements
  • Conduct research and development activities
  • Identify and evaluate system components through hands-on assessment
  • Engage with subject matter experts across teams during all phases of product development
  • Translate intricate technical challenges into actionable strategies and system architectures
  • Review, develop, and document operational concepts at the system level
  • Provide updates to peers and leadership regarding progress and technical challenges
  • Stay informed about emerging industry trends and customer-driven demands

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics
  • 5+ years of direct experience in EW/RF, or 2 years of related experience with a Master's degree
  • Design experience specific to EW hardware and software
  • Hands-on proficiency with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other RF measurement tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with EW modeling and simulation systems and techniques
  • Experience with programming in C++ and MATLAB
  • Hands-on development experience
  • Strong skills in technical writing and communication
  • Experience with the integration and application of high-fidelity simulation alongside Hardware-in-loop (HWIL) testing
  • Must be a US Citizen with appropriate identification
