ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a seasoned Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role within our Engineering Team at BlueHalo. This position involves contributing to the development, integration, and evaluation of technologies that support our mobile electronic warfare solutions. Key responsibilities include conducting research and development initiatives, operational testing, capability enhancement development, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

The EW Systems Engineer will be responsible for establishing and managing requirements, crafting operational systems concepts, performing system architecture assessments, and gathering insights from leadership and system stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be driven, high-performing, and proficient in collaborating within cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.

We seek an individual with a robust background in commercially available and deployed systems, showcasing the ability to effectively oversee product development from initial requirements gathering through to testing and delivery. A customer-centric mindset is essential for this role, as it directly supports the ongoing advancement of complex systems in mission-critical scenarios. The candidate will collaborate closely with our electrical, RF, software, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of system requirements and facilitate effective information exchange.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and assist in defining requirements
  • Conduct research and development activities
  • Identify and evaluate system components through hands-on assessment
  • Engage with subject matter experts across teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Translate intricate technical challenges into actionable strategies and system architectures
  • Review, develop, and document operational concepts at the system level
  • Provide updates to peers and leadership regarding progress and technical challenges
  • Stay informed about emerging industry trends and customer-driven demands

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics
  • 5+ years of direct experience in EW/RF, or 2 years of related experience with a Master's degree
  • Design experience related to EW hardware and software
  • Hands-on proficiency with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other RF measurement tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with EW modeling and simulation systems and techniques
  • Experience with programming in C++ and MATLAB
  • Hands-on development experience in relevant areas
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Experience with the integration and application of high-fidelity simulation and Hardware-in-loop (HWIL) testing
  • Must be a US Citizen with appropriate identification
