ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to play a vital role within our Engineering Team at BlueHalo. This position involves supporting the development, integration, and evaluation of cutting-edge technologies for our mobile electronic warfare systems. Responsibilities include conducting research and development activities, operational testing, capability enhancement development, and the integration of innovative technologies.

The EW Systems Engineer will be responsible for establishing and managing requirements, creating operational system concepts, conducting system architecture studies, and gathering feedback from leadership and stakeholders. A proactive and high-performing individual is essential, with the ability to engage in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in commercially available and deployed systems, showcasing the capability to oversee product development throughout its lifecycle—from requirements gathering and component selection to testing and final delivery. A customer-centric approach is crucial for this role, as it directly contributes to the ongoing development of complex systems in mission-critical scenarios. Collaboration with electrical, RF, software, and mechanical engineering teams will be necessary to ensure a comprehensive understanding of system requirements and facilitate effective information exchange.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and assist in defining requirements
  • Conduct research and development initiatives
  • Identify and evaluate system components through hands-on assessment
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across teams during all phases of product development
  • Translate complex technical challenges into actionable strategies and system architectures
  • Review, develop, and document operational concepts at the system level
  • Provide updates to peers and leadership regarding progress and technical challenges
  • Stay informed about emerging industry trends and customer-driven demands

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics
  • 5+ years of direct experience in EW/RF, or 2 years with a Master's degree
  • Design experience specific to EW hardware and software
  • Hands-on proficiency with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other RF measurement tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with EW modeling and simulation systems and techniques
  • Experience with programming in C++ and MATLAB
  • Hands-on development experience
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Experience with high-fidelity simulation integration and Hardware-in-loop (HWIL) testing
  • Must be a US Citizen with appropriate identification
