Job Overview:


The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily functions within the kitchen, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:


A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience in kitchen maintenance, operations, or a related field, including at least one year in a supervisory role. Familiarity with food and beverage service operations is preferred.

Must comply with certification requirements relevant to the position, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid certifications.

Should demonstrate knowledge of all Marriott policies and hospitality terminology.

Must possess or be able to obtain Food Manager Certification as required by state regulations.

Job Duties:
Engages with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.


Oversees and evaluates cost management, breakage, and quality support provided to various outlets, including banquets and other service areas.

Assists the Executive Chef in managing culinary supplies.

Ensures the condition and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and all kitchen areas are maintained.

Monitors cooking procedures, safety protocols, kitchen inventory, and budgetary constraints.

Participates in the development of the annual stewarding operating budget to align with the Food & Beverage Department's objectives.

Educates team members on current safety standards to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Reports any hazardous situations, emergencies, or security threats concerning guests, employees, or hotel assets.

Determines optimal stock levels and manages par stocks for all materials and equipment.

Leads, supervises, and evaluates the Stewarding department, conducting performance reviews.

Ensures all kitchen staff effectively perform their assigned duties.

Maintains the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness for all facilities and equipment.

Ensures proper handling and storage of all chemicals.

Attends necessary meetings and collaborates with other departments as needed.


Assists with additional tasks as required, which may include supporting food preparation and completing setup sheets.

Maintains open lines of communication with other departments.
