Sinclair Community College is a leading institution dedicated to providing a diverse range of educational opportunities to over 25,000 students. We are currently seeking a full-time educator in the Computer Science Department.

This role is a non-renewable academic appointment for a maximum duration of three years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Contribution: Engage in the ongoing development and execution of the department's curriculum, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing student achievement.

Teaching Excellence:

  • Conduct evaluations based on established criteria and utilize assessment data to enhance teaching methodologies and learning outcomes.

Community Engagement:

  • Participate in college committees and contribute to the institution's advancement. Share professional expertise with the surrounding community.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.
  • At least three years of professional experience in education, software engineering, programming, database management, or a related area is essential.
  • Familiarity with various programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, and SQL is preferred.
  • Experience with web development technologies, including JavaScript frameworks like Node, React, and Angular, is advantageous.
  • An understanding of data analytics, data science, and applied statistics is desirable.
  • Ability to deliver instruction in both traditional and online formats is preferred.
  • A proven commitment to enhancing student learning through innovative teaching strategies is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a culturally diverse educational environment, are essential.
