Job Overview

Position: Credit Recovery Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement lesson plans that align with state educational standards and common core objectives;
  • Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance student learning;
  • Modify and enrich the curriculum using diverse strategies and online tools to foster student engagement;
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and effectively integrate them into the learning environment;
  • Create classroom experiences that teach students to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios;
  • Guide students in developing essential competencies for success in the 21st century;
  • Provide opportunities for students to cultivate 21st-century skills through extracurricular activities and community service;
  • Facilitate engaging and empowering learning experiences for all students;
  • Leverage learning data and tools to create, manage, and assess relevant educational experiences.

General Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the educational philosophy and mission of the institution in all professional activities;
  • Focus on student-centered learning while teaching critical subject matter;
  • Exemplify tolerance, global awareness, and reflective practices, modeling expected behaviors for students;
  • Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans as required;
  • Administer standardized assessments as directed;
  • Maintain accurate records for each student, including grades, attendance, and behavioral documentation;
  • Ensure confidentiality of all student information and professional matters;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning outcomes;
  • Employ effective classroom management strategies;
  • Engage in collaborative practices with peers to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the community;
  • Participate in school activities as directed by leadership, including meetings and events;
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures;
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities;
  • Maintain the status of a Highly Qualified Teacher as defined by federal standards;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Principal

Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficient in various computer applications;
  • Knowledgeable in utilizing web resources and technology tools;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively;
  • Successful completion of background checks as required.
