Role Summary

The CDL Driver at Select Water Solutions is tasked with the safe operation of a truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight of at least 26,000 pounds. This role encompasses responsibilities such as preparing loads for delivery, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and managing the loading and unloading of oilfield equipment while ensuring quality control and safety throughout all operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport equipment to and from client sites using medium-duty flatbed trucks and semi-tractors.
  • Execute load-outs of equipment at the facility.
  • Engage in repetitive heavy lifting tasks.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment, unloading and positioning it at job sites.
  • Possess Class A CDL driving experience, with a preference for flatbed driving.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in securing loads, ensuring trailers are loaded correctly regarding weight, width, and height.
  • Navigate lease roads effectively.
  • Maintain a DOT electronic log alongside paper Bill of Ladings.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance for all Well Testing company trucks.
  • Ensure trucks meet current inspection standards.
  • Adhere to all D.O.T. regulations.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and meet the eligibility criteria to operate a company vehicle according to Select's insurance policies.
  • Experience in energy services is advantageous.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Capability to work independently and complete assignments to the highest standards.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Work is regularly conducted in outdoor weather conditions, including rain and extreme temperatures, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high winds, ice, snow, humidity, vibration, and dust is expected.
  • Exposure to noise levels that necessitate the use of hearing protection.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
