Position Summary:
The role involves assisting in the operation of drilling machinery and fulfilling various responsibilities as designated by the Rathole Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the mobilization of equipment and loads necessitating a Class A CDL.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of rigging and the secure operation of rigging apparatus.
- Engage in maintenance and sanitation of equipment and the work environment as instructed.
- Ensure the quality of work performed and prioritize personal safety.
- Facilitate rig relocation by adhering to established protocols between sites.
- Utilize required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
CDL Responsibilities:
- Receive assignments and guidance from the Dispatcher/Supervisor.
- Interpret instructions and documentation to plan work activities effectively.
- Transport materials to designated locations.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for loads collected.
- Gather required documentation and signatures for delivered goods and associated charges.
- Maintain a truck log in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay in communication with the supervisor and/or dispatcher for delivery instructions.
- Load and unload the truck as needed.
- Conduct inspections of truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs such as tire changes and light bulb installations.
- Secure cargo during transit using blocks and ropes.
- Operate company vehicles capable of transporting up to 105,500 pounds to facilitate construction and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal safety equipment, while assisting in equipment operations at job sites.
- Be prepared for a flexible work schedule, including long hours and on-call responsibilities, while being exposed to varying weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence; capable of writing basic correspondence; proficient in presenting information in small group settings.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and apply them to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow detailed instructions and address problems in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in using internal ERP systems.
- Licenses: Valid CDL License with a clean driving record, free from violations such as DWI/DUI in the past three years.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires regular sitting, occasional use of hands for handling, reaching, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
Work Environment:
Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions is expected while performing job duties.
