Job Overview:

Savage is seeking a skilled CDL A Hazmat Driver to join our team. As a Hazmat CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting liquid and bulk products and flat beds hauling pipe in and around the Bakken Oilfield in North Dakota and Montana.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive pre and post shift vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Utilize on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled.
  • Report incidents and spills in a timely manner to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
  • Take an active role in our safety program, including attendance to all safety meetings.

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements preferred, doubles endorsement preferred.
  • 1+ year of CDL Experience, preferable in an oilfield environment.
  • A commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries, and no property damage.
  • Ability to pass Savage's road test, which will include a proper pre and post trip inspection of the vehicle.
  • Comfortable working in an oilfield environment, including climbing ladders and stairs to the top of tanks.
  • Must be willing to work days/nights/holidays.
  • High School Diploma/GED.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Climb into and out of cab multiple times per shift.
  • Lift and carry at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Lift 50 or more pounds daily while climbing steps.
  • Hook and unhook hoses and open and close valves.
