Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager

Position: Environmental Health and Safety Manager (EHS)
Twist Bioscience is seeking a highly qualified individual to oversee the Safety, Health, and Environment Department. This role involves managing the facility's safety and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive SHE management systems to ensure compliance with state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead site SHE programs, focusing on Ergonomics, Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection, Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), Confined Spaces, Contractor Safety, and Hazard Communication.
- Oversee the management of chemical inventories and influence stakeholders to mitigate SHE risks effectively.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments to identify and minimize risks associated with work-related musculoskeletal disorders across various work environments.
- Perform inspections and job hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the investigation of SHE incidents and the formulation of corrective measures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing or implementing industrial ergonomics programs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to change and improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to train and mentor others.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to lead EHS initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Proficient in computer skills relevant to the role.
