Behavioral Support Specialist

Lehigh University Autism Services (LUAS) is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team in the College of Education. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and monitoring comprehensive behavioral support services tailored to the unique needs of each client. They will collaborate closely with caregivers, teachers, and other service providers to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to treatment.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. They will also be Board Certified Behavior Analyst, PA Behavior Specialist, with one to three years of related work experience as BCBA and three to five years working with children with autism.

The Behavioral Support Specialist will be responsible for managing and providing training and direct supervision to our dedicated team of registered behavior technicians (RBTs). They will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and ethical guidelines.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with ASD.

This is a Grade: 9 - 40, offering an approximate salary of $54,390-$66,190. The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor. This position works with minors and is funded by soft dollars; there is no severance associated with this position. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position.
