Project Construction Lead

Position Overview:
Join Doyon Government Group as a Construction Superintendent, where you will oversee and manage construction activities at various project sites.
Role Summary:
Doyon Government Group (DGG) specializes in Design-Build and General Construction Services, including demolition, renovations, and civil projects for government facilities and military installations.
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for coordinating all on-site construction operations and supervising field personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct all construction activities on-site.
- Manage field personnel to ensure timely project completion with high-quality standards.
- Maintain regular communication with project managers to ensure adherence to company policies.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules, addressing issues as they arise.
- Keep accurate as-built drawings and documentation.
- Process requests for information to support project needs.
- Review subcontractor payment applications and manage change order negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with safety documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Procure materials and schedule necessary inspections.
- Familiarize with federal contracting regulations, particularly those of the US Army Corps of Engineers and NAVFAC.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Supervise projects from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through to final completion and turnover.
- Promote job site safety and address hazards promptly.
- Maintain an organized job site and office environment.
- Ensure compliance with EEO/AA standards and contribute to employee development.
- Willingness to travel to various project locations as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or NAVFAC projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
- Capable of performing minor construction tasks.
- Valid driver's license and OSHA 30 certification.
- CPR & First Aid certification.
- Ability to obtain VA DEQ license if required.
Preferred:
- Quality Control and Safety certifications.
Working Environment:
The role primarily involves outdoor work in diverse settings with various personnel.
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength, including lifting and moving objects.
