Job Responsibilities:
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities and supervising field personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and supervising all construction tasks.
- Directing field personnel to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintaining regular communication with project management to ensure adherence to company policies.
- Creating and updating construction schedules, addressing issues as they arise.
- Ensuring accurate as-built documentation is maintained.
- Managing subcontractor payments and change orders.
- Overseeing safety compliance and updating necessary documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ordering materials and scheduling inspections as needed.
- Fostering positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Promoting job site safety and addressing hazards promptly.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintaining an organized job site and office.
- Supporting employee development and being open to travel for project needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Familiarity with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and/or Naval Facilities Engineering Command projects.
- Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and schedules.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
- Valid state driver's license and OSHA 30 certification.
Preferred:
- Quality Control and Safety certifications.
Working Environment:
The role primarily involves outdoor work, interacting with diverse teams.
Physical Demands:
Requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting and carrying materials.
