Certified Educator: Must possess a valid Arizona Standard Professional Teaching Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education, ensuring it is current and in good standing. The role is classified as "Certified Educator" and for payroll purposes, it is categorized as "Teacher on Contract". To maintain this contract, the educator must keep their certification valid and in good standing.

Alternative Certification: Must hold an Alternative Teacher Certificate from the Arizona Department of Education. This role is classified as "Certified Teacher – Pathway" and for payroll purposes, it is categorized as "Teacher on Contract". To remain on contract, the educator must ensure their certification is current and in good standing.

Primary Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the school principal, the educator is tasked with supporting the Diocese of Tucson in its mission to evangelize, catechize, and educate youth within a Catholic School framework. The educator is expected to embody the Gospel and Catholic teachings both in their professional duties and personal conduct, adhering to the principle of living in a manner worthy of their calling (Eph. 4:1).

Key Responsibilities: Uphold and promote the unique Catholic mission of the school by communicating, acting, and instructing in alignment with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Exhibit Gospel values through active participation in a faith community and demonstrate a commitment to personal faith development; strive to model the teachings of Jesus through attitude and actions. Contribute to the school's faith community by actively engaging in and assisting with religious and service activities. Lead daily classroom prayers. Exhibit effective planning capabilities by preparing lessons aimed at achieving academic objectives and integrating a Catholic religious curriculum as defined by the school. Demonstrate teaching proficiency by maintaining comprehensive knowledge of both academic and religious curricula, effectively communicating with students, and organizing classroom activities to maximize learning opportunities. Show readiness to teach in an online learning environment, utilizing platforms such as Google Classroom as necessary. Develop and implement effective evaluation methods that align with curriculum objectives and clearly assess student progress. Establish a consistent disciplinary framework that encourages self-direction and fosters a positive self-image; maintain high standards for student behavior and manage any inappropriate conduct effectively. Create and sustain a functional and inviting learning atmosphere. Collaborate with school and diocesan administration; work harmoniously with all staff to cultivate positive relationships with students and their families. Attendance at scheduled faculty meetings and training sessions is essential. Consistently demonstrate professional accountability in adhering to school policies and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise sound judgment in professional attire and behavior. Follow directives from the principal and perform additional duties as assigned. Physical and Mental Requirements: The educator must possess coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual capabilities, and the ability to lift as required in a typical office setting.
Essential Activities: Walking, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, speaking, handling, listening, carrying, and keyboarding.

Basic Qualifications: A strong commitment to the mission of fostering lay leadership within the Roman Catholic Church; if a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing member in full communion with the Church. Exceptional communication skills, including proficiency in written, oral, public speaking, and presentation formats. Strong interpersonal skills; must be self-motivated, well-organized, and a collaborative team member. Availability for evening and weekend responsibilities as required; must have reliable transportation. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in computer technology, including word processing and spreadsheet applications; must maintain confidentiality. Flexibility in assessing needs and adapting strategies in a ministerial context. Completion of a criminal history and background check is mandatory. Professional demeanor and a neat personal appearance are essential. Education and Experience: A completed bachelor's degree or higher is required. Certification as a Teacher by the State of Arizona, with renewal as per state regulations. Level I of the Diocesan Ministry Certification, with renewal every three years. Employment Expectations:
