Certified Educator: Holds a valid Arizona Standard Professional Teaching Certificate through the Arizona Department of Education, maintained in good standing. The classification for this position is "Certified Educator" and the payroll classification is "Teacher on Contract". To retain this position, the educator must keep the certification current and in good standing.

Primary Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the school principal, the educator is tasked with supporting the Diocese of Tucson in its mission to evangelize, catechize, and educate youth within a Catholic educational framework. The educator is expected to embody the principles of the Gospel and Catholic teachings both in professional duties and personal conduct, "...Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received." (Eph. 4:1)

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Uphold and promote the unique Catholic mission of the institution by communicating, acting, and instructing in alignment with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The educator must not endorse, in any form, doctrines that contradict the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Exhibit a commitment to Gospel values by actively participating in a faith community and valuing personal faith journeys; strive to model the teachings of Jesus through actions and demeanor. Contribute to the development of the institution's faith community by showing a willingness to engage in and assist with religious and service-oriented activities. Lead and engage in daily classroom prayers. Demonstrate effective planning capabilities by preparing lessons aimed at achieving academic objectives and goals as set by the institution, alongside a Catholic religious curriculum as defined by the institution. Show proficiency in teaching by maintaining comprehensive knowledge of both academic and religious curricula and effectively communicating with students; organize classroom learning and resources to enhance student engagement and motivation. Be prepared and willing to teach in an online learning environment as necessary, utilizing platforms such as Google Classroom or similar tools for instruction and learning. Develop and implement effective evaluation methods that align with curriculum objectives and the concepts and skills taught; consistently and clearly assess student progress. Establish a consistent disciplinary framework that fosters self-direction and a positive self-image; set high expectations for student behavior and manage any inappropriate conduct effectively. Maintain a conducive and pleasant learning atmosphere. Collaborate with school and diocesan administration; work harmoniously with all staff members to foster positive relationships with students and parents. Attention will be given to punctual attendance at scheduled faculty meetings and training sessions. Exhibit professional responsibility in enforcing institutional policies and regulations at all times. Safeguard confidentiality of information, demonstrate sound judgment in appearance and behavior. Specifically, the educator will adhere to institutional dress code standards. Follow directives from the principal; perform additional duties as assigned. Physical/Mental Requirements: The educator must demonstrate coordination and manual dexterity, possess normal mental and visual capabilities, and be able to lift as necessary in a standard office environment.
Required Activities: Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, talking, handling, hearing, carrying, and keyboarding.

Basic Qualifications: A strong understanding of and commitment to fostering lay leadership within the Roman Catholic Church. If a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church. Exceptional communication skills, including written, oral, public speaking, and presentation abilities. Strong interpersonal skills; must be organized, self-motivated, and a collaborative team member. Availability for evening and weekend responsibilities as needed; must have reliable transportation. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Proficiency in computer technology, including word processing and spreadsheet applications; ability to maintain confidentiality. Flexibility in assessing needs and strategies, adapting appropriately in a ministerial context. Completion of a criminal history and background check is required. Professional demeanor and a neat personal appearance. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher is required. Certification by the State of Arizona as a Teacher, with renewal as mandated by state law. Level I of the Diocesan Ministry Certification, with renewal every three years. Employment Expectations:
