The General Store Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of store management, including leadership, supervision, financial oversight, maintenance, and administrative responsibilities.

This position is onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director to monitor and optimize retail budgets, product inventory, purchasing, and sales.
  • Stay informed about inventory pricing and adjust store pricing as necessary across various categories.
  • Ensure adherence to all cash handling protocols, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage mail/package collection and ensure timely processing of on-site bills.
  • Assist in daily accounting tasks, including bank deposits and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food preparation and facility maintenance.
  • Supervise, train, and develop team members, conducting annual performance evaluations and wage reviews.
  • Create staff work schedules and delegate specific tasks as required.
  • Plan and execute daily specials and regular menu offerings.
  • Uphold compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Exemplify exceptional customer service.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a food service setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency with POS systems.
  • Understanding of accounting and cash control processes.
  • Food Manager Certification required or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • IN UST Certification required or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with diverse individuals.

  • Consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Commitment to maintaining company quality and quantity standards.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb stairs and perform bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
  • Occasional use of a ladder for climbing.
  • Ability to lift over 20 pounds frequently.
  • Close visual acuity for tasks involving computers and similar equipment.
