Dynamic Role as Creative Director at AB Hires and Consulting

As the Creative Director, you will spearhead the creative initiatives within the organization, guiding personnel, workflows, and the output of the creative team. Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring that the company's creations not only align with but also elevate the standards of quality and innovation synonymous with the brand. This position requires a meticulous eye for design, outstanding team leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset to balance efficiency, quality, and budget considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Direction: Take ownership of the creative domain, establishing and upholding high benchmarks for the team and their deliverables. You will hold ultimate decision-making authority for the creative output across the organization.
  • Creative Direction: Define the creative vision and trajectory for essential projects. Establish guidelines for creative standards and provide final approval for critical initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies for recruiting, onboarding, training, and offboarding that your creative team leaders can utilize for managing their personnel.
  • Team Development: Lead the internal expansion of our in-house creative division and curate a network of external creative professionals, building a team that upholds high standards of quality and efficiency while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Process Improvement: Create and manage the processes utilized by the creative division, ensuring their effectiveness and adaptability as the team evolves.
  • Financial Oversight: Establish and oversee project budgets, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure that resources are allocated effectively across various projects.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for collaboration among department heads, managing the escalation process and ensuring transparent communication across teams. Establish protocols for how design team members interact with product managers for effective communication.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure clear visibility into team capacity, SLAs, and backlogs to facilitate efficient project management and prioritization.
  • Project Prioritization: Determine project priorities and establish criteria for what projects will be accepted by the team, along with the necessary resources to allocate to each initiative.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Amazon merchandising, showcasing a strong understanding of visual product presentation strategies.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity within an agency environment, managing creative teams of 5 or more members.
  • Proven track record in managing personnel and processes, with a strong emphasis on maintaining team standards and effectively leading teams.
  • Exceptional multitasking and prioritization abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Fluent English speaker with a strong sense of design and creative strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in balancing talent resources and creative budgets to allocate effectively towards projects.
