Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives for new healthcare entities, including medical groups and hospitals, in regions where DaVita has limited presence.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with medium to large medical groups to facilitate their expansion into new markets.
  • Engage in multi-year strategic planning with Operations Teams in designated areas.
  • Drive and finalize strategic partnerships with major physician practices and healthcare organizations, focusing on acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Ensure achievement of growth targets while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Lead and mentor the Corporate Development Team, providing essential guidance and support.
  • Conduct market analysis and prepare statistical reports to identify growth opportunities.
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate strategy discussions with divisional leadership on new business ventures.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to Divisional Vice Presidents and their teams in assessing growth potential.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Foster effective relationships with healthcare providers in alignment with DaVita's ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and assigned group leaders to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Travel requirements: up to 50%.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree; Preferred: Master's degree or MBA.
  • At least 10 years of progressive management experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in healthcare operations, particularly in dialysis or similar services, is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in financial and operational management.
  • Strong strategic planning and management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity to maximize resources to meet key performance indicators.
  • Experience in collaborative environments, fostering a results-oriented culture.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on achieving meaningful goals.
  • Business acumen with an understanding of financial implications in decision-making.
  • Innovative thinking in the management of healthcare services.
