Position Details

Position Title: Indirect Lending Processor

Department: Indirect Lending

Classification: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $24.43 per hour

Reporting Structure

Reports To: Indirect Lending Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Position Purpose

The Indirect Lending Processor is responsible for inputting data into the loan system and ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance. This role involves various administrative tasks related to the processing and closing of indirect loans and leases, adhering to established service standards, federal and state regulations, and credit union policies. Daily responsibilities include fostering positive relationships with employees, dealers, and members.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external members, including dealers and co-workers.
  2. Provide timely and accurate administrative support, including updating loan data, assembling documentation, reviewing applications, and verifying information for indirect loans and leases.
  3. Contact dealerships promptly regarding missing documentation necessary for loan disbursement.
  4. Process loans and leases in the core system.
  5. Ensure accuracy of indirect loan and lease packages received for funding, meeting all approval stipulations prior to disbursement.
  6. Collaborate with management and the lending team to ensure consistency and compliance throughout the loan process.
  7. Deliver exceptional service to members and dealers, addressing issues as they arise and escalating when necessary.
  8. Continuously assess and recommend improvements to workflow, efficiency, and quality.
  9. Scan and upload finalized loan documentation to the appropriate system.
  10. Assist in reviewing and updating lending policies and procedures.
  11. Cross-sell credit union products and services as appropriate.
  12. Support members in setting up automatic electronic payments as needed.
  13. Assist in training new employees.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Performance Metrics

Performance will be evaluated based on core competencies outlined for the position and goals established by Indirect Lending Management.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: A two-year college degree is preferred, along with two years of loan processing experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting principles, lending industry guidelines, and strong communication skills are essential. Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements is necessary, and compliance with all BSA regulations is expected.

Experience Required: Proficiency in PC-based software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Skills/Abilities: Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude consistently.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Physical Activities: The role involves sedentary work, primarily sitting, with occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force.

Mental Activities: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in various formats.

Language Ability: Proficient in using a vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; capable of reading, writing, and communicating effectively.
