Key Responsibilities:
The Patient Experience Navigator will be the primary contact for our comprehensive patient experience program, which includes addressing and resolving patient concerns in alignment with the guidelines set forth by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This role will operate under the guidance of the Manager of Patient Experience and Advocacy, collaborating with various leaders and staff to ensure excellence in patient care and satisfaction.

This position also involves overseeing the Language Assistance Program (LAP) in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) and DNV regulations. Responsibilities include conducting annual assessments and providing education and training to hospital staff on delivering these essential services to patients. Additionally, upon successful completion of NYS Notary Public Certification, the Patient Experience Navigator may assist patients and families by notarizing necessary documents.

Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $37.48 per hour. Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required

Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of two to four years in an acute healthcare setting, focusing on patient care services, hospital performance improvement, or related fields.
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and project management software.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and experience in delivering project results using statistical methods.

Required Certification:
- NYS Notary Public Certification within six months of hire.

Physical Requirements:
- Visual acuity for computer use; ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Availability for evenings, nights, and weekends to address serious patient complaints.

Working Conditions:
- Works in a clean, well-lit, and ventilated facility with no routine exposure to hazards.
- Must demonstrate the physical ability to perform tasks and withstand long periods of sitting, standing, or walking.

Mental Demands:
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships and work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
