Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Emergency Psychiatric Medicine. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories
  • Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals, as well as prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Answer telephone calls and screen referrals
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred
