Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of anesthesia procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesiologists with routine to complex procedures before, during, and after anesthesia procedures.
  • Retrieve and return anesthesia medication trays using Pyxis access.
  • Transport patients to and from the ICU, CCU areas, and other critical care or patient care areas under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and/or an anesthesiologist.
  • Restock supplies and clean anesthesia equipment and work area.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot clinical problems on anesthesia equipment.
Requirements
  • Work requires knowledge of anatomy, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and instrumentation at a level generally acquired through one year of post-high school training in nursing or a related allied health field.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Anesthesia technician national certification is preferred.
  • Two years of anesthesia tech experience is strongly preferred.
