Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance, including daily operations, future maintenance planning, and management of the Maintenance Team. This role involves troubleshooting issues related to the hotel's physical infrastructure, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both guests and staff while adhering to sanitation and cleanliness standards. Additionally, this position may include providing guest transportation as needed.

Essential Duties
  • Maintenance Management (35%): Lead, train, evaluate, and manage maintenance staff in alignment with company policies. Maintain employee records regarding attendance and performance. Assess labor needs and adjust staffing levels accordingly; prepare daily maintenance checklists. Conduct regular staff meetings to share information and address staff concerns. Provide guidance and motivation to the maintenance team.
  • Maintenance Operations (35%): Direct operations for both the exterior and interior of the property, including electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and structural maintenance to ensure optimal property conditions. Collaborate with management to develop, plan, budget, and implement maintenance programs and procedures. Ensure all distribution systems for utilities are maintained appropriately. Schedule maintenance tasks to minimize guest inconvenience.
  • Safety & Preventative Maintenance (20%): Conduct ongoing inspections of the property to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Manage preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms and public areas, maintaining organized workspaces and up-to-date equipment logs.
  • Additional Responsibilities (10%): Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Stay connected with the Front Desk regarding guest needs. Conduct inventory and manage hotel supplies. Provide transportation to guests as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel setting.
  • Experience in commercial refrigeration, plumbing, air conditioning, building construction, and related fields.
Job Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to work in various weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, and walking required.
